A humble but sincere thank you for coming to shows, spreading the word, creating, conspiring, donating, loving, chatting, and inspiring us for another year. Can't wait to bring you the best year yet and see even more of you!
We are thrilled, excited, on pins and needles, ecstatic for our event on Sunday! We can't wait for you to see some of the best the Twin Cities has to offer in terms of queer-inspired entertainment!![]() And I know many of you can't wait to the show to see who all we've got, so I wanted to write our darling audience a quick note with a list. SO:
How's that for a show?! You'll also get to hear cute stories about Gadfly's inception, bid on rockin' silent auction items from tarot card readers (spoiler alert: that's me), tattoo artists, theatre companies, and so, so much more. So, the only question left is: what are you waiting for? Tickets are on sale now and will be until at least Saturday--unless, of course, we sell out. Hope to see you there! P.S. If you are just straight up not able to make it no matter how hard you've tried but truly do want to help this spunky, funky and growing queer and feminist arts organization, you can always donate via our GiveMN page. We’re building a PlayGround for the Obscure, the Oppressed, and the Unapologetically Original---and we want you to join our motley crew of queer, feminist, and allied administrative and technical artists. That's right--we’re looking for at least three Superheroes to join our Social Justice League. We are an performing arts production company looking for smart, motivated theatre lovers who want an opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in technical and administrative capacities and are passionate about queer and women’s voices getting fair visibility and awareness.
The openings we have are: Development Director, Audience Services Director (which does include some fundraising responsibilities), and Technical Director. Experience is not as important as passion and dedication, but send us your resumes anyway so we can get a sense of who you are, we're you've been, and where you might want to go-- e-mail gadflytheatre@gmail.com to set up an interview. If you’re looking to enter an artistic company ready and chomping at the bit to grow and thrive, something you can start with at the ground level and watch become huge, and do work for the artistic, queer, and women’s communities that you can grow more proud of with each passing day--don’t hesitate to contact us today about becoming involved. *These are largely work-from-home, cut-of-house payment, extremely part-time positions--for now. Women, LGBTQQIA* persons, and persons of color are especially encouraged to apply but all resumes will be considered. ![]() Want more people than ever to experience a Gadfly show? The best tool we have to reach local arts lovers and activists is YOU. Here is the link to share on Facebook or other Social Media sites: https://www.facebook.com/events/1404595556425833/ 2) Purchase your tickets in advance. We need to know how many people to plan for and it gets our artists/activism pumped up to know you are coming and maybe even bringing some folks with you. Did you know that we pay our artists a cut of the house? Your tickets support local artists. Here is where you can purchase your sliding scale tickets: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/451973 3) Consider making a donation. $5, $10, and $15+ donations are what keep us pumping out high quality queer and feminist theatre. We put your money right into our season's production with no waste. We are a flexible and growing nonprofit, sponsored fiscally by Springboard for the Arts.
