A humble but sincere thank you for coming to shows, spreading the word, creating, conspiring, donating, loving, chatting, and inspiring us for another year. Can't wait to bring you the best year yet and see even more of you!
We are thrilled, excited, on pins and needles, ecstatic for our event on Sunday! We can't wait for you to see some of the best the Twin Cities has to offer in terms of queer-inspired entertainment!![]() And I know many of you can't wait to the show to see who all we've got, so I wanted to write our darling audience a quick note with a list. SO:
How's that for a show?! You'll also get to hear cute stories about Gadfly's inception, bid on rockin' silent auction items from tarot card readers (spoiler alert: that's me), tattoo artists, theatre companies, and so, so much more. So, the only question left is: what are you waiting for? Tickets are on sale now and will be until at least Saturday--unless, of course, we sell out. Hope to see you there! P.S. If you are just straight up not able to make it no matter how hard you've tried but truly do want to help this spunky, funky and growing queer and feminist arts organization, you can always donate via our GiveMN page. Give OUT Day is a new national initiative that will engage hundreds of organizations and mobilize thousands of people on a single day across the country to give in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & queer community.
“Less than 5% of the LGBTQ community gives to an LGBTQ cause, according to research from the Horizons Foundation and Movement Advancement Project,” says Bolder Giving’s Executive Director Jason Franklin. “Give OUT Day aims to raise awareness of the need to support LGBTQ nonprofits and elevate the level of LGBTQ philanthropy.” And why should you donate to your Twin Cities growing queer and feminist theatre Gadfly? As a nonprofit organization we rely on the support from our audiences, friends, and fans! Your donation shows us a vote of confidence as well as keeps the organization on track to reach our ambitious goals. I mean, have you seen what we are planning for the 2013-2014 season??? We need you, queer and allied activists and arts supporters! AND In addition to helping this fantastic organization keep queer and feminist theatre alive in the Twin Cities, you'll be listed as donors for the remainder of the season, and those donating will see additional perks rolling in--like special discounts, behind the scenes (exclusive) info, and special events. ![]() At Gadlfy: Every. Single. Dollar. Counts. Did you know that Gadfly Theatre is a nonprofit and is a fiscally sponsored project of Springboard for the Arts? Did you know that Gadfly is committed to being financially accessible & has at least one Pay-What-You-Can performance for each show? Did you know that every dollar donated is stretched to the maximum? Did you know that Gadfly provides opportunities to explore, create, and open safe dialogues about GLBTQA and feminist issues? Did you know that, like most nonprofit arts organizations & activist groups, we rely on financial contributions & donations of our supporters? Please, consider making a donation to keep us growing and healthy! We have ambitious events in the works for next year. With your donation today, you ensure that more people than ever can: experience strong LGBTQA characters, explore their preconceptions about equality & fairness, imagine a life experience or identity that is different from their own, come together with other open-minded, inclusive people. |
